| I was part of the team that painted one side of 3440 "City of Truro" into BR Lined Black at Bridgnorth in October 1984 for a Steam World 1985 April Fool's prank. It was rubbed down, painted, lined photographed and either re-painted or dismantled in about a week. By the time the picture was published the loco was reduced to a pile of components ready for overhaul. Complete with 3717 number and red backed name-plates, it looked far better than it does now!!! I know who the others were but that's not for me to say.............
